Have a look at Prakbot. Take my word for it, it is unutterably cool. It may seem a bit techy, but what it boils down to is this: lately I’ve been playing The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (Infocom, 1984) over Skype.
They (Ben and Mind Candy) don’t seem to have released it into the wild yet, but it’s a wily beast, I’m sure it’ll work out an escape route.
Cool, OK. But unutterably cool?
I mean, with so many Infocom interpreters available, there was already nothing stopping you from playing HHGTG on, well, anything with a text input device.
If you have to play one infocom format game, Curses is the one, and it’s free. Really, devote a couple of weeks of your time to it.

But just think of the potential for looking-like-you’re-doing-some-work!
i didn’t know that skype could talk to jabber. is a plugin required?
